The Boyfriend, often mistakenly called Keith, is a character who competed in Episode 10 of Elena's Get Ungrounded Trivia. Much like how he depicted in Friday Night Funkin' and its mods, he usually says "Beep bo bop", but is actually able to speak human language.
Boyfriend, along with Junior are the most recurring characters in Elena's Get Ungrounded Trivia.
Description[]
Boyfriend is the main protagonist from Friday Night Funkin', a rhythm game demo released at the near end of 2020. His main objective is winning his girlfriend's heart and get approval from her father who tried to kill him for dating his daughter. Through out the Weeks, Boyfriend faces different opponents such as Skid and Pump from Spooky Month, Pico from Pico's School, and even Girlfriend's mother. The game is open sourced which allows people making mods about the game. The popularity of the mods was started by the Whitty mod, which is notably the first mod to have a custom full week.
His name being Boyfriend is most likely because the developers are lazy about giving him a proper name, or just think it's a funny idea. The same happens to his girlfriend.
Appearance[]
Boyfriend is a male with cyan hair. He wears a red cap, white t-shirt with prohibit sign, blue jeans and red shoes. He has beady eyes and is shorter than most characters.
The creators of Friday Night Funkin' said that Boyfriend is 7 feet tall, either as a joke or a serious statement, which is abnormally tall for a human standard. This doesn't seem the case in fan works however.

- Boyfriend is often being called Keith. However, the developers have disconfirmed it multiple times, and seem to get tired of it.
- Like Elmo, Boyfriend's voice was not Skippy in early episodes due to the voice being broken during that time. Since Skippy voice is now working, Boyfriend's voice is now Skippy.
- Boyfriend is the first contestant to be picked by the wheel in Elena's Get Ungrounded Trivia.
- Before he got picked by the wheel, Boyfriend was actually going to make an unexpected appearance in a future episode as a substitute host, but he ended up being picked by the wheel first.
- The Real Christmas Special Episode is the only episode where he is grounded.
- Boyfriend's outfit in Christmas Special is based on his appearance in Week 5 in the original game.
- Boyfriend is one of the few grounded contestants that does not show any negative expressions.
- There's a very common misconception about Boyfriend being Miku's younger brother. However, Boyfriend is 19 while Miku is 16, making him Miku's older brother. Despite of this, the creator said that Miku would no longer be 16 if she's added to the game, in that way she can be his older sister, which made most fans insist the misconception.
- Despite this, Boyfriend is portrayed as Miku's older brother in not only Elena's Get Ungrounded Trivia but also GabrielDropOutFTW124's other content.
- Boyfriend and Duggee have competed more than any other contestants, with a total of 3.
- In Elena's Get Ungrounded Trivia, Boyfriend is the only contestant with Skippy and Justin voice to be ungrounded.
